2024 INTERN COMPANY

Rachel Buchanan (Stage Management) is a junior at SUNY New Paltz where she is studying theater tech and psychology. If not losing all free time working in the theater, they can typically be found curled up in some cozy corner lost in a book. They are so excited to take their first step into professional theater this summer with ATF, and learn more about the backstage world of stage management!

Rowan Davidson (Graphic Design) is a current student at SUNY New Paltz. With a passion for Graphic Design, she is thrilled to be interning at Adirondack Theatre Festival. This is her first time working in a professional theater, and absolutely cannot wait to begin! Rowan would like to thank her friends and family for always urging her to pursue her passions, with a special shoutout to her cats, Felix and Cereza!

Aswad Khan (Sound) is 21 years old and is going into his final year of college at SUNY Plattsburgh for broadcast media production. He loves making music and working in creative environments like theater that challenge him to constantly learn and improve.

Ruth Leech (Lighting) Hailing from Underhill VT, Ruth has worked as a general technician with a passion for lighting. She will be a senior in the fall at Skidmore College, where she is a Sociology and Religious Studies double major. When not orbiting the world of electrics, Ruth loves swimming, hiking, cooking, and exploring Glens Falls by bicycle. This is her first foray into professional theater.

Emily Shufelt (Costume) is local to Glens Falls and has been doing theater in some form or another since she was in elementary school. She is a SUNY Adirondack alum and is currently going to SUNY Oneonta, where she is studying English and Theatre. She will be entering her senior year there in the fall. Recent credits include Cabaret (Lightboard Operator) and All in the Timing (Dawn in The Universal Language), both at SUNY Oneonta, where she hopes to be involved in their shows for the 2024-2025 academic year. She is excited to be the costuming intern at ATF and hopes that you enjoy the show!

Benjamin Adam Weiss (Administration) is a senior at Middlebury College in Vermont, where he studies music, sociology, and theatre. Benjamin grew up in a small town in north-west Connecticut, and he has always loved the community he finds in towns that thrive upon performing arts. He himself is a non-threatening quintuple threat as an actor, cellist, pianist, vocalist, and filmmaker in his spare time, which is subsequently quite limited. If you are lucky, you may spot Benjamin as your house manager in ATF's shows this summer, a task that comprises of steering you away from approaching icebergs, industries that try to reduce you a number, power-hungry kings that may or may not wish to chop off someone's head, and mysterious murders (you betcha Benjamin already has M on speed dial). One final fun fact about Benjamin is that he is the proud father of two plants and he wants to thank them for everything they do to keep him sane and dancing through life. He also loves his family dearly.
